This should be a wake-up call for all Iowa citizens. I have met with Iowa officials about this over and over. Kim Reynold’s associate just shrugged her shoulders and said, “Her children were doing fine.”
It is the number one reason that remedial education has flourished both privately and publicly. These students are often labeled dyslexic and anything else that schools can attain more funding.
It has spread to all private schools in the Des Moines area.
Lastly, this is a discriminatory process to minorities and serves to widen the achievement gap. Join me in protesting to school boards, parents, schools, and the State of Iowa.
